For registered rental companies

Fill the days your fleet sits still.

Rento puts your rent-a-car company in front of drivers already searching for your dates — and you keep your prices, your terms and your customers.

  • Free to list
  • No commission on rentals
  • Verified companies only

Registered companies only

Only registered companies. That’s the point.

For now, Rento is open only to rent-a-car businesses registered as a company. Every application is checked against the public business register before a single car goes live.

So renters book knowing a real, accountable company stands behind every car — and you never compete with someone renting out their own car on the side.

Who can list

  • Rent-a-car businesses registered as a company
  • With a business number (NUI) and a registration certificate

Not on Rento yet

  • Private owners renting out a personal car
  • Unregistered or informal rentals

Everything you need to run the bookings side.

One dashboard for the whole desk — from the first enquiry to the keys coming back.

  • Every booking in one place

Bookings land in your dashboard and your inbox the moment the renter pays. The dates are blocked for you automatically, so the same car can never be double-booked.

  • You set the prices

Daily rates, deposits, long-rental discounts, seasonal prices and your own extras — child seat, extra driver, one-way drop-off. Nothing is priced for you, and you can change it whenever you like.

  • Choose who drives

Require a verified ID and driving licence, a minimum age or a minimum number of years licensed — for the whole fleet or car by car.

  • Contracts without the paperwork

Every paid booking drafts your rental agreement with the renter’s details filled in, ready for both of you to sign online.

  • Talk to customers directly

Every booking and every enquiry opens a chat with the customer, before and after they book. You can send them a date offer or another car from your fleet right inside the conversation.

  • See what people actually look at

Per-car views, how far down the results each car appears, and which listings turn into bookings. So you can tell a pricing problem from a photo problem.

  • A network of rental companies

Out of cars for someone’s dates? Borrow one from another company on Rento — or lend out a car that would otherwise sit still.

  • Room for your whole team

Invite your managers and counter staff, each with their own login and only the access their role needs.

Your price is your price.

You set the rate you want to be paid, and that is the rate you are paid — to the cent. Nothing is taken out of it, and there is no cut on a rental you performed.

  1. Online, when they book

The renter pays part of the trip online. That payment is what confirms the booking and takes the dates off sale.

  2. At your counter, at pick-up

You collect the rest on your own terms — card or cash, with your contract and your deposit, exactly as you do today.

What could your fleet bring in?

Rento is new, so rather than quote you an average that isn’t ours to quote, this works from your own numbers. Set the three below and see what the arithmetic says.

3 cars
€40 / day
10 days — steady

That works out to

€1,200

per month, whole fleet

3 cars × 10 days × €40

Over a year

€14,400

at this occupancy

Each car earns

€400

per month on its own

These are your own numbers multiplied out — gross rental revenue before your costs, and not a projection of what Rento will bring you. Actual demand depends on your city, your prices, your photos, and the time of year. Rento takes no cut of your rate.

From application to first booking

  1. 1

    Apply with your company

Your company details, your business number (NUI) and a copy of your registration certificate. It takes a few minutes and costs nothing.

  2. 2

    We verify your company

The Rento team checks your details against the public business register — usually within one business day.

  3. 3

    Add your cars

Photos, daily price, deposit, pick-up location, and any extras you offer. Add one car or your whole fleet.

  4. 4

    Start taking bookings

Your cars appear in searches for the dates they are free. Renters book and pay online; you hand over the keys.

Questions from rental companies

Can I list my cars on Rento?

Yes, if you run a rent-a-car business registered as a company. You apply with your company details, we check them against the public business register, and once approved your fleet goes live. Listing is free and there is no limit on how many cars you add.

I’m a private owner. Can I list my own car?

Not yet. For now, Rento is open only to rent-a-car businesses registered as a company, so every car on the site belongs to a company we have checked. If that changes, this page will say so.

Why do you need my business number and certificate?

They are how we confirm a company is real and registered before any of its cars go live: we look the number up in the public business register and compare what it says with your certificate. The certificate is seen only by the Rento review team and never appears on your public page.

How much does it cost?

Listing your fleet and taking bookings is free, and nothing is taken out of the rate you set: the renter pays part of the trip online to confirm it, and you collect the rest at pick-up, by card or cash. The only thing you can pay for is optional sponsored placement, which puts a car in a labelled slot at the top of the results.

Do I have to accept every booking?

There is nothing to accept or decline. A booking is confirmed the moment the customer pays, and its dates are blocked across Rento so the same car cannot be double-booked. Keep your calendar and blocks up to date so only dates you can honour are on sale — once confirmed, a booking can only be cancelled by Rento.

What do I need to get started?

Your company details, your business number (NUI) and a copy of your registration certificate. Then, for each car, a few clear photos, the daily price, and where the customer picks it up. Everything else — specs, features, extras — you can fill in as you go.

Who handles the customer?

You do. Rento brings you the booking, the chat and the payment that confirms it; the contract, the keys, the security deposit and the car itself stay entirely between you and the renter. Your terms, your counter, your customer.

What happens to my reviews?

Only someone who actually completed a rental with you can leave one, so the score on your listings reflects real trips. You can reply to any review in public, and your company rating shows on every car you list.

Ready to fill the empty days?

Apply in a few minutes, add your first car once you are approved, and grow the listing from there. Nothing to pay and nothing to cancel.
